Fr. Eugene Benedict, OMI, General Councillor for Asia-Oceania, is currently visiting the OMI Colombo Province. His presence marks a highly significant period for the community, as he is here to conduct vital consultations concerning the appointment of the next Provincial Administration.

A Focus on Our Apostolic Work

Rather than limiting his visit to administrative discussions, Fr. Eugene is devoting a substantial amount of his time to visiting the various missions spread across the Province. This hands-on approach provides him with a valuable opportunity to:

• Meet the Confreres: Fostering direct dialogue and fraternal bonds with the Oblates actively serving in the field.
• Understand Community Realities: Gaining a deeper, on-the-ground perspective of the daily lives, challenges, and blessings within our local parishes and communities.
• Witness the Mission Firsthand: Experiencing the heart of the apostolic work and ministries being carried out throughout the Province.
