Established in 2004, the Mazenod Youth Centre is a dynamic institution dedicated to the holistic character formation of young men and women across Sri Lanka. Located within the serene grounds of St. Vincent’s Home, the Centre provides a vibrant, inclusive, and safe environment designed to build strong, empathetic personalities, warmly welcoming youth of all racial and religious backgrounds.

Empowering the Next Generation

We believe that true leadership is rooted in empathy, faith, and strong moral character. To nurture these qualities, the Centre regularly organizes and hosts a variety of transformative programs:

  • Leadership Camps: Activity-driven programs focused on teamwork, self-confidence, and civic responsibility.

  • Spiritual Retreats: Guided sessions that offer youth the quiet space needed for inner reflection, deepening of faith, and personal growth.

  • Orientation Programs: Specialized workshops designed to help young adults navigate life transitions, educational choices, and modern social challenges.

Facilities and Partnerships

The Mazenod Youth Centre is fully equipped with the necessary amenities to comfortably host both one-day seminars and multi-day residential workshops. Because of our structured, peaceful environment and experienced facilitation, we are proud to be a preferred partner for schools, regional youth associations, Sunday schools, and universities that consistently seek out our retreat spaces.

The Home of the "Mazenod Youth Journey"

Beyond hosting external groups, the Centre proudly serves as the official national headquarters for the ‘Mazenod Youth Journey’—the dedicated, active youth movement of the Missionary Oblates in the Colombo Province. Through this initiative, we engage young people in continuous spiritual accompaniment, community fellowship, and social action.
